I live in the UK and work as a biotech scientist.
I visited Thailand last year and fell in love with the place. I hope to be there again very soon.
I am learning how to read, speak and write Thai. I can only do so much by myself! Currently, my room is full of Thai flashcards and post-it notes.
I am willing to help teach English, either spoken or written to anyone who needs it.
My hobbies are video games, learning Thai and if the weather is good, running and cycling. I play some guitar as well.

! I've just found a study buddy, so I'm not currently looking for another one. However, I'll keep this visible in case I can help direct someone.
I am a Japanese based in Oxford, UK. I sometimes find it hard to keep up with English conversations, especially with native speakers. I would like to get more used to the speed and idioms of real spoken English. If you have a regional accent, that is a bonus for me (I especially struggle with Scottish and other regional accents).
Aside from language learning, I am interested in:
British history, culture, architecture, and classic novels
Nature in general
Making tea
Drawing
Learning more about plants, animals, and the city I live in
If you are interested in these areas, I could be a good partner.
I can understand and write some classical Japanese and tend to use a relatively rich vocabulary (prob top 5% among native Japanese), but I am happy to slow down and use simpler Japanese if needed.

As an Engineer and I spent 30 years designing MRI magnets for medical scanners as used in hospitals. The last job I had was at CERN in Geneva where I worked on the update for the Large Hadron Collider.
Since I retired 4 years ago I spend my time walking, playing squash and pickleball. I also have 4 grandchildren which keeps me (and my wife) fairly busy.
I am very fond of France and the French culture and language and can speak it reasonably well after having spent 4 years in Geneva. I want to continue to improve it and is the reason why I would like to speak with some Skype Francophones.
I would welcome a French/ English language exchange but with someone who can already speak reasonably good English.
