Hi, just in Taipei for a couple of months. I taught English in Taiwan many years ago and learned a lot of Chinese then, but I haven't used it for a long time so I'm looking for opportunities to practise while I'm here, to try to "get it back". I'm friendly and easy going, love to hike, play guitar, and eat delicious Taiwanese food. You can be old, young, male, female, or in between. I don't care as long as you are friendly. (Of course you're friendly - you're Taiwanese!)

I am Robert, currently based in Taipei, Taiwan. I am studying Chinese for almost a couple of years now. Yet, I still struggle to communicate with locals as the sentence structures and the vocabulary (and even the pronunciation) used in formal lesson seems so different from daily Taiwanese Chinese. I hope I can find a language partner who can practice Chinese with me the Taiwanese way.
I am an English editor and a medical writer with an extensive and advanced science and medical vocabulary. So if you are in the medical field and would like to improve your science communication in English, I am your guy. However, I would be happy to help you with your English in any topic.
I like working out especially on weekends, sightseeing, going to nightmakets or just enjoy a cup of coffee. We can practice online via Line or we can meet in person.
