I am currently seeking a native Italian speaker to practice my Italian while my current language partner is taking a pause. I’m retired, travel often to France and more recently, Italy. I don’t have too much availability so am just able to handle one exchange at the present moment. I’m a gardener, work out most days, follow the work of Dr. Joe Dispenza and am happiest hanging out with my family and friends in beautiful Southern California. I have been helping a Parisian with his English for the past 8 years (who’s taking a pause)& an Italian from Milano for the past year (ongoing), sadly he is not that available because of a new job. I am a native English speaker and would characterize my Italian as intermediate, B-1 level.

I have learned quite a bit of basic Bokmal vocabulary through Duolingo but am having difficulty stringing it all together into casual conversation and also interpreting the speech of others. Would love to improve.
I studied mandarin in school for a year and a half and found it quite challenging but am keen to pick it back up. I actually work for a Chinese bank and thought it would be neat to converse with some of my coworkers that are fluent in mandarin.
I play a lot of video games, probably too much, love horror films, and enjoy dry humor.

I moved from Korea to LA this July. I can read, write, and listen in English a little, but speaking is still difficult for me. I’d love to meet a friend nearby who wants to learn Korean. Hi. I'm Steve. I have a background on the creative side of the Film/TV business, both behind and in front of the camera. Over the past couple years, I have been volunteering as an English language coach for new immigrants to California. I have taken a course and earned a certification as an English Language instructor to do this -- with specialized training in pronunciation.
I hold a BA, summa cum laude, from UC Berkeley in California.
My Spanish is at a B-1 to B-2 level. My hobbies include travel, keeping fit, motorcycling (sport bike riding and track days - I am an ex-racer), and bicycling. I follow Premier League Football (aka soccer). I enjoy experiencing live music, stand up comedy and other performances, as well as seeing art on display, in person, which is always better than looking at photos of art. And of course I enjoy quality film and TV. And yes, I also enjoy reading... haha. I am now officially bored and a little embarrassed talking about myself, so I'll just stop. 🤓.
