Hello, I am Machiko from Japan. I have lived in Melbourne for 4 years because my husband got transferred to Melbourne brunch of Japanese company.
Although I’ve been in Melbourne for many years, I’m still struggling to speak English fluently. I would like to meet up in person and study each target language. Actually I already have some language exchange partners and we catch up regularly. But I’d like to meet more people to exchange our culture.
If there’s someone who has free time during daytime on weekdays, I would love to see and talk together in English and Japanese.
I live near the CBD in Melbourne, so I would be happy to meet up in the CBD or around there.

I am learning Mandarin, so I can better communicate with my Chinese wife, her family, and friends. My wife speaks English very well, but is not my Mandarin teacher; my Mandarin is at the level of a small child or primary school student, so it's boring for her, but hopefully not too boring for you..
Instead of continuing to focus on vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar etc, I wish to have casual conversations with Mandarin speakers, so I can develop my 'conversation brain', which is a much different, more challenging and real-world skill than formal study.
I am a farmer who helps regenerate (repair / heal) the land and care for the animals, and grow food that is both healthy and tasty. I am pretty good at ping pang too :)
