Hi, my name is Carlos. I’m from Costa Rica and I’m 35 years old. I’m really passionate about languages. I’ve been trying to improve my English, since most of what I know I learned from watching movies and playing video games. I’d like to explore the language more, especially its slang and everyday expressions.
I’m also interested in Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, and Korean, and someday I’d love to learn Russian.

I lived in Japan about 20 years ago. I studied some Japanese and can have short conversations. I studied for N3/2 but have forgotten most of the 単語、文法. I would love to reconnect to these and start using again. I listen to Japanese podcasts, so I can understand most of the easy ones.
I can offer language exchange for English. 英語と日本語の言語交換をしたいんですかど。どう?
I would also like to practice my French. I learned French in school here in Canada, but haven't used it much since then.

I have been learning Japanese for a little over a year now and am now making an attempt to practice speaking with others in order to make meaningful progress. My japanese is slow and honestly quite terrible but I think I will be able to improve immensily by talking to someone other than myself.

I’ve been studying Spanish for quite a few years, though not very consistently, so I still consider myself somewhat at the beginning of my learning journey. I can read simple Spanish fairly well, but I find speaking and understanding spoken Spanish much more challenging, which is why I’m hoping to find someone patient to practice with!

Je viens de Chine et je commence tout juste à apprendre le français.
Mon objectif est de préparer l’examen de français TCF, donc je voudrais surtout améliorer mon expression orale, ma prononciation et ma fluidité.
Je cherche un(e) partenaire linguistique patient(e) et sympathique pour pratiquer le français régulièrement. Je peux aussi vous aider à pratiquer le mandarin, selon vos besoins.
J’aimerais pratiquer 20 à 30 minutes chaque fois. On peut parler 10 à 15 minutes en français et 10 à 15 minutes en chinois. Nous pouvons pratiquer plusieurs fois par semaine, par messages vocaux ou via des réunions sur Zoom.
