I am retired. Love to travel the world. Japan is my top destination: people, food, culture, scenery, and onsen. Been to Japan around 31 times, for business and vacation. Walked the Shikoku pilgrimage (ohenro) three times, in 2016, 2019, and 2023. Since November 2019, decided to learn Japanese in earnest. Hi I'm Rachel, I'm British but live in Cairo Egypt. I have been learning Spanish on and off for 2 years. I'd say I'm just around level 2.2 but with some gaps on basic stuff. I'm happy to help improve English skills. If you speak Spanish and want to learn English you could be around low intermediate English and we'll be OK, I think.
A bit about me, I like travelling and finding random adventures to go on. I do humanitarian work for my job, though currently volunteering supporting organisations based in Gaza and Egypt. I am from near Manchester (red, before you ask :-) ) but do not visit home as often as I would like.
