Hi,
I'm a native Mandarin and Taiwanese speaker. The past ten years or so I've been functioning in English and am fluent in it. Acquiring French is my current goal. I'll be happy to help with Mandarin, Taiwanese or English in exchange.

I'm an American who has been living in Canada since 2011.
After having spent 15 years in the U.S. military I am now currently working as an Ontario provincial correctional officer, but I'd like to switch careers once I obtain my Canadian citizenship and get both French and Mandarin Chinese to a level where I can use them professionally.
Some of my interests include (but are not limited to): History, genetics, cyber security, cybernetics, mountaineering, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, shooting sports ('murica :p ) and, of course, foreign language.
Though I'm happy to converse with anyone from anywhere, it would also be nice to find some locals for some face to face language practice.
My work schedule is ridiculous and I have kids, so scheduling exchanges is difficult. It's easier for me to just chat when we both happen to be online at the same time, which for me is usually going to be between 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM or after 9:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (UTC-5).
