Language.Exchange

I'm new here so still trying to figure thing out. I do understand some spoken Spanish and French but am a bit short in the vocabulary department. I find it hard to trick my mind into wanting to learn new words. Memorization also doesn't work but I seem to be able to pickup words when they are used in context. This may be a good experiment for me to see if conversing with others on here will boost my vocab and knowledge of the target languages.

My hobby list is pretty deep. I'm sometimes a runner, volleyball player, gamer, Electronics/3D print maker, drone enthusiast. There are many other things in which I dabble occasionally as I try to keep my mind active learning new things. After a really poor language experience at school which left me worse off than before starting, I've been searching for better ways to learn. Assimil books/audio was good but with any self paced learning one can easily get distracted. Most of the French I know is from Assimil.
