Hey, I'm Alex! I like all sorts of things, and won't shut up about them lol. I'm happy to talk about just about anything, and am always interested in learning new things. I'm currently a 3rd-year university student, majoring in history (and minoring in linguistics).

I'm happy to help with English or French; I teach English, and I know standard formal English very well, and read and write essays frequently, so I can help with high-level English. I also use English in my daily life, and so can help with a less formal register as well. I have two accents in English; the one I use the most is essentially Standard North American English, though I have a couple of Canadian features in my speech (e.g., Canadian Raising), but I also speak in a sort of mix of RP and Australian English as well.

I'm also quite proficient in French, and speak in a fairly standard, generic accent (always happy to teach some Québécois slang I've picked up though ;)).

I'm currently learning Mandarin Chinese, and am somewhere about HSK 3 or 4, though my speaking needs a lot more work than my reading and listening. If you speak Mandarin and are looking to learn English or French, then let me know, I'd be happy to start an exchange with you!

I also speak Spanish at about a B1 level, so I'd like to find a conversation partner who I can talk to in Spanish, and will correct me when I make mistakes. Of course, I'd be happy to do the same for your English or French.
