Hey peeps. I used to live in the States and in Korea during my school years. And because of it I'm a decent speaker in English and Korean. But I would love to learn Japanese cause I'd like to work and live there for a couple of years in the future. Hello all, I've tried a few different languages and have landed on 日本語 as it gives me join to learn.
I've been studying kanji and grammar for a few months now so I'm relatively committed to learning more Japanese!
I'm here to practice speaking - my Japanese is nowhere near proficient enough to converse in, however I would appreciate it if you could listen to me read sentences and short stories and correct me/help me through the process.
I'm more than happy to reciprocate the help back to you :)
Kanji is really fun to learn and read, but I haven't started writing practice... Maybe once I finish my degree I will, but until then, Japanese is just a hobby! I tend to spend ~2 hours a day on Japanese (between Kanji, Grammar, reading, and listening practice).
Outside of Japanese, I like learning (in general), weightlifting, gaming, and Math (university major).
I am from Florida so we can talk about American politics, religion, and culture if that interests you. I also have epilepsy and a bit of hermit (I enjoy my solitude), so I have a lot of free time being at home so often :).
