'Ello, my name is Petrus. I am an Eastern Orthodox Christian who wants to learn Russian. Yes, I am Finnish by ethnicity. Arabic language is in my plans too, but Russian is currently the priority which I want to have my main focus on now for awhile. Also open to Serbian, Ukrainian and Church Slavonic (but, you don't speak that as your main language, right?)
Going to move to Helsinki soon so it will be my first time living there!
My interests/hobbies currently and from the past have been different religions, philosophy, films as an art, reading. Sounds snobish & nerdy, I know, but that's just how I grew up! Voluntary work and helping people is important to me. I've been in different roles of serving my local parish I am preparing to go study theology, which is related to why I want to especially learn these languages.
I know a bit of Biblical Hebrew, and that is a language I want to advance too more some day

Hi! I am Daria, I'm 31 and I'm a native Russian speaker. I've been living in Finland for several years. I love the country but unfortunately, I don't need Finnish at work and in daily life in general so I don't know the Finnish language. Now I am intended to learn it to integrate into Finnish society and I know how it is important to use the language you learn from the very beginning of your study. So I would love to practice language exchange so we could help each other. I have practiced language exchange while learning English and it worked really well! I am fluent in English and by now I am a beginner in Finnish.

If you like Mandarin Chinese, I can help you to improve. My strongest point is Chinese article writing. When I was a student, I won school/area/national level writing competitions prizes. I published my article on newspaper for one time. Also, speaking, reading are all ok for me.
For me, I learned Japanese for a few months and like Japanese culture and animation. I often listen to Japanese or Korea musics. During spare time, I like climbing, walking in city or nature, playing games in bad weather.

ベトナム語Hi, I am Finnish language enthusiast currently living in Helsinki. I would personally consider my self a self-taught linguist.
I am native Swedish and Finnish Speaker (C2), have C1 in English, and B1 in Korean, Mandarin Chinese, and Japanese. My Vietnamese is quite poor and German is okay A2.
I am aiming to pass all the JLPT-tests. I will start from N5. in 2025 I plan to attend HSK3 and maybe HSKK middle level. At some point I would also like to have a grade 3 in TOPIK (Korean language test)
I have been to university exchange in South Korea twice (Hallym University, 08-12/2016; Kyung Hee University 08/2020-05/2021) and lately I returned from a 9 month stay attending Chinese classes at National Taiwan Normal University (08/2023-05/2024). I have also travelled to Hong Kong, Japan, and Vietnam for some 2-3 days each.
Studying languages and meeting people in the process is a life style choice I made at the age of 22 (now I am 32).
I am happy to help people in learning languages so if that is what you want we could meet and then I see what I can do.

Finnish is my native language, but alongside that I am also fluent in English, German, French and also speak Russian and Swedish intermediately. I also know some Spanish, Italian, Polish, Hebrew, Latvian, Estonian, Afrikaans and a little Greek and many many other languages!
I also love traveling around the world to explore new places and interesting cultural sights! Reading and literature are also very close to my heart :)

I am a Russian guy who has been living in Finland for several years. Born and raised in Russia, in St. Petersburg. There I received a technical education and then worked in the field of telecommunications.
My interests are self-development, electronics, IT. I like some of the humanities, especially philosophy. Trying to improve my knowledge in areas that were not very good at school became my way of life. For example, mathematics.
Learning languages is not very good, perhaps due to my closed nature. I want to improve my English in order to be part of the international English speaking community, in particular for career purposes. I also want to improve my Finnish because I live in Finland. Regular friendly communication with someone helps a lot, but it is a problem to find a person for permanent, long-term communication. On "better days" I rate my English as intermediate or so (from the bottom), Finnish as beginner, or a little more than beginner.
I love animals, great experience of owning domestic cats :)
Agnostic, moderate attitude towards LGBT, negative attitude towards Putin's regime in Russia, against Russia's military invasion of Ukraine.
If you are looking for an English-Russian or Finnish-Russian language exchange partner, feel free to contact me. However, I expect from my partner a strong motivation to work constantly and hard, as well as a willingness to interact via Skype / Whatsapp, since I primarily need oral / colloquial language.
